Black Cherry, Plum, Spice
Roast Turkey, Chicken Burgers, Salmon
This is a blend of two medium weight gapes. Gamay Noir can sometimes have an almost soapy aroma (doesn’t mean it’s bad) and this certainly delivered. The wine has a clear beginning, middle, and end. Up first is a nice fresh red plum flavour, followed by more red stone fruit and black cherry, it finishes with some mixed spices. The challenge for me is that these great flavours were not integrated and for all the interesting things happening it lacked depth.
