Nicely balanced between acid and sweet. Fruit is present and noticeable but not overwhelming, like a compote. Definitely serve this with food as the tannins are a little grippy, but smoothed out when decanted. Terrific value for an Organic wine around $10.00

Here you have a nice light bodied dry red that’s made without oak barrels to mix it up a little. It’s a blend of Corvina and Merlot grape varietals. Fresco in Italian means fresh and this wine really tastes fresh! Here’s why:
The grapes are harvested at the coolest time of the day and immediately pressed and made into wine. It’s fermented only with the natural yeasts found on the grape skins, decanted and then bottled unfiltered (it’s quite clear and had no sediment).

Pinot Noir is a great alternative to bigger bold wines that can steal the show. I got the cherry flavours I was expecting and overall enjoyed this Pinot. A bit of ripe fruit or jam was missing which cost it the 4th star.

I really liked another Pinot from Cono Sur which I gave 4/5 stars and costs a couple of dollars less.

Extra dry with a full to medium body. The flavours are a bit muted and muddled. On the finish your tongue will be left bone-dry from the oak tannins. Not bad overall, but also not seeking it out again terribly soon.

Another lush and juicy wine at a great price point. Chile tends to produce wines with really nice fruit flavours and the perfect level of sweetness. There is a really nice earthy thing happening on the finish that probably from the Carmenere. I’d buy it again and would gift this wine.

Malbec is a great alternative to the typical stuff we tend to buy. Here it’s blended with good old cab sauv and does a great job of livening up what could be a pretty heavy wine. While this a wine review site and not an art review site I can’t help but point out what a great label this wine has. Honestly, the label drew my eye at the store and so I brought it home. This organic wine at this price point will be a repeat buy at my house.
Certified No Snob 5/5!
Chuck’s Take
Full bodied, fruity and oaky yet dry on the finish. The finish becomes a little sweeter as you linger between sips. For me, this bottle has notes of: black grapes, oak, black cherry, tobacco
